Associate Editor Needed for Amazing Magazine- Malibu (NO LONGER ACCEPTING RESUMES)

 We are looking for someone to be the hub of this company and handle everything needed for producing the issues to this amazing magazine.  This job is part producer (for photo shoots), part sales (pitching), working with the creative team, the writers for content and has to work within the budget given.  You will handle everything from A-Z as this is a small team.  You will also be expected to oversee the schedule for the Owner/Publisher of the Magazine as well as handle all logistics for the issues and run the busy office.  Must be confident, have a great phone manner, understand the entertainment culture and be great at multi tasking and handling all the little details without letting anything fall through the cracks.  This is a fun job for someone with common sense who is bright and a true people person.  Need to know how to make things happen and think on your feet.  Must be comfortable speaking with Agents, Managers and Publicists to pitch their talent for covers etc.  Ideal candidates is coming from an Agent, Publicity Firm or Magazine and is comfortable around Talent and has their finger on the pulse.  You will have some interns to manage that will help assist as well.  This is a cool, hip laid back company but very busy.  Prefer someone who lives on the Westside.

Very busy Singer/Songwriter/Actress seeks a Personal Assistant to be based out of the studio office in Santa Monica. Ideal candidate must be professional, able to anticipate needs and be a self-starter, personable, understand the music culture and entertainment industry as she is involved in both. Must be detailed, efficient and proactive with excellent communication skills. Occasional travel may be needed. Must be extremely computer, social media and tech savvy. We don’t want someone who has to be micro-managed and we would love someone who has their finger on the pulse of the industry and can offer ideas when asked. Must be a great personality match as there will be many times when it’s just you and the boss in the studio.

Duties include; errands, scheduling, liaising with industry professionals, travel arrangements, driving boss to appointments, sitting in on studio session, ordering meals, household and personal errands and making sure every aspect of her life is running smoothly. We seek a truly experienced assistant who is pleasant with a CALM disposition to work alongside the “first” assistant for an extremely busy and prolific interior designer. In this role you will work assist with all administrative needs (phones, scheduling, travel, expenses, etc.). Additionally, this role will work directly with the principal in all matters as related to home and personal needs and will interface closely with the House Manager at the home.

In this role we seek someone who is a great communicator, a team player, and a is a true problem solver.

Duties:

Coordinate and share duties with Executive Assistant
Keep President on schedule for both meetings and phone calls
Meet tight deadlines and anticipate the future needs of the President based upon inbound phone calls, request, etc.
Coordinate meeting set-up and master calendar for President
Coordinate high level and high volume travel plans and schedules for President
Maintain President’s belongings in a neat and orderly manner
Greet clients before and after meetings and ensure their visit is pleasant
Provide phone support and call rolling and manage daily call sheet
Route various paperwork (contracts, client correspondence, Human Resource forms)
Maintain general files, both physical and electronic
Manage intake of invitations and mail for President
Maintain digital photo files and imports
Oversee events, parties and fundraisers: coordinate with event planner and vendors; manage guest lists and invitations; staff the event
Manage personal and pet vendors and appointments
Liaise with project manager on President’s primary household security, audio/visual, groundskeepers, repairs and other vendors as needed
Misc. errands such as keeping the cars filled with gas and detailed, personal shopping and returns, picking up lunch, dropping supplies at President’s house, etc.
Manage weekend household in Palm Springs, including but not limited to, preparing the house for use by President and his guests, coordinating with Palm Springs staff and MSI designer assigned to the project, etc.

Short-Term (4 months) Nanny needed- FILLED!

Looking for a Nanny from Dec-March for a family in Brentwood. 2.5 year old girl and newborn boy expected in Jan! Ideal candidate can work 4 days during the week(flex as to which days) and every Sat. They guarantee a 40 hour work week. Must have experience with newborns as well as toddlers. Mom is having a C-section so needs an extra set of hands while she is recovering. Duties include, feeding baby, putting kids down for naps, cleaning bottles, cleaning kitchen, feeding toddler, playing with toddler and bringing to the park, going grocery shopping, occasional errands, prepping kid’s food, cleaning while kids are napping, laundry etc. Looking for someone with a great attitude and no ego!

This is a fun and happy environment so looking for someone who is light/happy and easy to be around. May be some occasional travel. Must speak perfect english.

50 hour work week with some flex. Some days you may work from 7:30-1pm and others 1pm-10pm. You are more than welcome to stay over if needed.

$750/week cash no health benefits.
